Walkingtotheend does Trailwalker

Dear family, friends, colleagues, supporters and followers

Well this year (May 2nd, 3rd and 4th) we are participating in the Oxfam ‘Trailwalker’ event once again.  This time we have 8 of us broken up into 2 teams of 4.  Walkingtottheend 1 and 2.

As you will know this is where we will walk 100k’s from Jells Park to Warburton through Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs.  Last time we did this it took about 28 hours walking with no sleep.  The purpose of course is to raise $ for the great Oxfam organisation and their many programs around the world.

We have already covered about 100 k’s in our training sessions and expect to finish the actual event in between about 25 and 30 hours (subject to band aids)

Our major fundraising event leading up to the actual event is a trivia evening.

Come along please and bring your friends.

Please let me know if you do wish to attend

Date – Friday March 28th.

Venue:  Elsternwick Bowling Club.

170 Glenhuntly Road, Brighton

Time:  7.30 pm

Entry fee:  $10 per person.

BYO food/nibbles – N.B. all drinks to be purchased over the bar at normal club prices.

Many other activities, games and prizes planned for the night!

For those of you unfortunate enough to miss out on this night of fun, there is luckily an alternative way for you to show your support for our team – you can now donate on-line!

Simply go to –

https://trailwalker.oxfam.org.au/team/home/15843

This should get you to our team, “Walkingtotheend 1”

It would be great if you can all make it on March 28th but understand that most people won’t be able to so hope you can support the cause on line.

Cheers
