Monday Sept 3
Today we travelled to Dijon with Chris, Ernie, Mick and Frances for a wine and cheese tour across the region. It included visiting many of the fields and seeing where some of the most expensive wines in the world originate including Romanee Conti which sells for around $10000 a bottle (see picture):
Many wines local cheeses were sampled.
On return to Cissey we unfortunately had some car trouble but another adventure was had being transported in the back of a tow truck. See the picture below. Off to Le Puy tomorrow – Tuesday by train.
Also discovered one of the Camino routes goes right past the Romanee Conti field – see picture below.
