Walked our bags over Euston road past the peak hour crowds of London milling around Kings Cross station And onto St Pancras international. We checked to see if we could store a bag there until our return to London at the start of November but after discovering it would cost 180 pounds we decided to carry the bag on our travels.
Boarded the Eurostar at 11.15 for a 11.31 departure and 2.5 hours later disembarked in Paris at 2.45pm Paris time. Taxi to our apartment for 10 euros and we were pleasantly surprised with our home for the next 2 nights. Even managed to book the same taxi for Saturday morning to take us to airport for flight to Poland.
We set up house and wandered out into the streets for a drink and meal. This location is great and we are surrounded by wonderful cafes and people.
As we sat and had a couple of drinks which seemed to affect our ability to walk straight we were amazed at the amount of people using cycles of one form or another moving around the place seemingly oblivious to the cars, traffic lights and need for helmets. For us it was passing entertainment so I took a few pictures of the variety of cycles we saw.
Tomorrow we are spending the day exploring the city.
